Lackawanna County Prison changed its mail procedures effective June 1, 2022. General incoming mail is no longer accepted directly at the facility. Personal mail must be sent to: Lackawanna County Prison, Inmate Name and Booking Number, P.O. Box 247, Phoenix, MD 21131. Legal mail must still be sent directly to the prison: Inmate's Name, Lackawanna County Prison, 1371 North Washington Avenue, Scranton, PA 18509. The prison uses ViaPath tablets that provide inmates with free secure messaging for 10 minutes per day. Video visitation is available through the GTL platform at lackawannacountypa.gtlvisitme.com. In-person visits are currently not permitted at the facility.
